Girl Scouts Italian Night - Simple Meals Badge

Recently my Junior troop worked on their Simple Meals badge. They learned how to make healthy snacks, desserts and a main meal. Throughout the meetings, girls collected their recipes and made their own Simple Meals cookbook to take home. The last step to earn the badge was to cook a meal for their families. The girls decided to host an Italian Night to celebrate their new skill! They served a complete dinner that included appetizers, green salad, Baked Ziti and dessert.
I found the prefect Italian Party Printable from Casos e Coisa da Bonfa and party supplies on Oriental Trading web site.
The desserts were simple since we had to concentrate on the main dish! We served no bake cheesecakes, mustache chocolate pops, store bought mini cheesecakes, bonbons and chocolate covered strawberries.
The girls created unique centerpieces using a variety of pastas.
Each girl scout received their own Chef's Hat favor made by Crafts by Rosa with all the badges they have earned until this dinner.
While our guests were waiting for their dinner to be ready, they nibbled on bread sticks, olives, dinner roll/butter and garlic bread.
The girls were busy cooking, setting up and decorating our "La Dolce Italia Restaurant"

The girls welcomed their parents at the front door where they posed for a family photo before entering the "restaurant".
The parents enjoyed their dinner cooked and served by their daughters! It was a success!!
The girls were so proud of their accomplishment!
